The thing about being an independent is that, to do so, you have to pay your own way. That’s why Amherst Island radio station CJAI is holding its annual fundraiser tonight.

Headlining the show at Overtime Sports Bar will be Toronto band In My Coma, but there will be plenty of local support on hand, too, as Needless Love Endorsement, Goldwing, Clem Chesterfield, Oakridge Ave., and Left on Bowery will also be taking the stage. The show starts at 7 p.m. at Overtime Sports Bar, 1677 Bath Rd. Cover is $10 or pay what you can.

With all of the record releases this year, a familiar face returned with a new album. Luther Wright and the Wrongs’ Hearts and Lonely Hunters is the first album released by Kingstonian Wright in seven years.

Also releasing records this year were local musical acts Logan Brown, Kasador, Clem Chesterfield, and Hoodie Jack, among others, and Kingston native David Usher.
